The commune of Lazil … First, it’s important for people of that commune to localize all touristic sites in it. Second, would be their improvements (for tourists), works that must be done in them. For example when take the Sous Goudèt waterfall,

it’s a touristic attraction that should be improved to attract tourists (at national and international level). It needs works to be done, such as: how it can be exploited to save this waterfall to irrigate land, it’s use to generate electricity and technique to fill up (concrete) reservoirs (that can be constructed) to irrigate land in the area, roads accessible to vehicles to bring tourists to it, and places for them to lodge (motel, guesthouse)… All these ideas can be discussed in a forum with everyone from Lazil, who has WhatsApp to discuss many works (in term of thinking, and strategies) for the development of this commune.

Natives of Lazil spread out (particularly those in diaspora). It’s important to organize themselves, and remain connected with the commune. Once organized (particularly through the social networks), they will be able to debate all ideas related to the commune’s development and think of  strategies to achieve these objectives, including investment in many areas, to create job opportunities. When having the experience living in developed countries, one has a general idea (how everything is being exploited to make money)… But we see there are young people who are interested in taking the good direction toward Lazil’s development, different from the older generations who are good in talking a lot. So, we can exchange ideas that are helping in this sense, particularly young people who are living in the commune.

Lè ou fè esperyans viv nan gran peyi (ou peyi devlope), ou gen yon ide jeneral (kijan yo esplwate tout bagay pou fè lajan)… Men nou wè gen jèn ki enterese pran bon direksyon nan kad devlopman Lazil, diferan de ansyen jenerasyon yo ki maton nan pale anpil. With the advantage of high technology today, so many things can be done through long distance communication. So, it’s important to create forums with all people of Lazil through WhatsApp, Facebook (including those who are living in diaspora, who have more access to high technology). That way, these ideas can be discussed in details... Many people of Lazil (living in diaspora) are already on WhatsApp, in order to organize themselves as groups… Don’t look at people who are wasting time talking. Once you see a good work can be done to help, embark yourself in it. Don’t count on Paul, James or Peter... We can help a lot with ideas, and document many things on Lazil… Once they send us documents on Lazil via email.

Well, once group of young people in Lazil or some group of young people launches a forum for people of Lazil, that’s going to be a nice idea for all who are on WhatsApp writing down its objective (goal), respect for one another’s opinion, (active) participation of everyone. If someone is connected (to the forum), that person must participate in the debates /exchange ideas...

Roads… We can’t talk about Lazil’s development without the development of roads… This is the reason why we say that it’s important to have a forum through WhatsApp with many people of Lazil to debate these important subjects… Once we people of Lazil can identify all touristic sites in all of Lazil’s rural sections, and write them in a notebook, they can be shared with the moun Lazil forum, or can be sent to our email, and we will add them to documents we publish free online on Lazil. That’s how we can help Lazil, free with ideas, documenting everything on that commune one line.

On the roads issue, those in the commune of Lazil should come up with a list of roads needed to be done, needed to be widened with tractors (even if they are not paved). So, the authorities should work on that, to ask for the  help of the central power (to have tractors do the work), to widen all important roads in Lazil in order to do commercial going back and forth, and to facilitate internal communication.

Once the major roads are widen, including roads leading to the touristic sites (that can be identified), this will allow a flow of tourists at national /local, and even international level (according to our developmental vision of   Lazil). Again, this can’t be done without a forum, where people who are from Lazil are not united to make one voice with all those who are living in diaspora to agree on that, and to participate in it to exchange ideas...

For example, since very little, we find the Mòn Oko mountain road has been causing lot of problems, it’s too narrow. It needs to be widen so that 3 cars can pass without any problem. It’s an important road, because it links the national road going south of Haiti with Lazil. Once it’s open (wider), it will take few minutes from the southern main road, and then going to Lazil. So, there can’t be a  flow of tourists (to stimulate Haiti’s economy, and  the communes’ economy) without roads connecting all the  touristic sites everywhere in Haiti, for people to make money …

Active Politicians, people who are going to campaign (for different posts) should talk about it or that must be included in their campaign. These things are important to reflect upon them, and for the diaspora to participate also in the work projects going on (if there are some), particularly each person who is from a commune should  think how he can help that commune… Haiti has 145 communes (civil townships), and 571 communal sections. Once each commune get organized itself with their people (and with those in diaspora), working together with local authorities (for the welfare of the commune), we will see Ha Haiti’s development, how it can be done rapidly in the advantage of all Haitians.

1. Modern Agriculture (with machinery to plow land, irrigation project, reservoir to pick up water to irrigate land, including rain). [voice mail]

2. Handicrafts, (craft museum to display samples of craft works, people’s names or organization that make them and a code for each product).

3. Driving School (to learn how to drive). Each young person who is 18, 19 should have a driving license. That will help them doing business involving transportation (of people, and merchandises from one place to another) to make some money, and to move around.

5. Bakery. People eat bread everywhere. A profitable business.
