Galerie Monnin

The artwork to be included in the art exhibit and silent auction, The Truth, is a diverse collection of works by Haitian, Haitian American and Haitian inspired artists. The contributing artists will present works that include photographic images from before and after the earthquake, fine art photography, paintings, masks and a slideshow presentation, short films, interviews and footage of Haiti.

GALERIE MONNIN :: Dedicated in 1956, the founders have been at the forefront of promoting Haitian art and aesthetic around the world. A family-run gallery, with the third generation of Monnin’s now in charge, has been showcasing contemporary Haitian art for over 50 years.

Galerie Monnin strives to be the avant garde of the artistic and cultural development of Haiti; and this despite all the socio-political turmoil, the misadventures and the ups and downs of this singular little country of fiercely individual creators.

A large collection will come straight from Haiti, showcasing the most contemporary art being created in Haiti right now.
